I see little point in riding around being tormented by a load of awful robots torturing you with one of the most annoying themes I have ever heard.
Eleanor, do you not understand that for children Small World is so magical and fantastic? I don't think it's bad, it's annoying, but if you go to Disney with a 'don't want to see robots' attitude, then you'll have a short day.
Agreed. I think it is a very clever ride, and had never thought of it as such a contrived ride until I read a book on Disney - it is quite scary how a company which really used to care about giving people a good day to impress the visitor, not just to trick them into returning. It's a Small World is one of the most contrived rides that still operates in any Disney park.
I hate its a small world with that annoying tune and all the singing dolls it drives me nuts.
I was young when I first rode the ride, back then it seemed so appealing until you sat on it and the stupid song started. It made you want to rip off your ears. I'm so glad it didn't break down, or I would have thrown myself in the water and left myself to drown.
This ride sums up what rides I can enjoy as I've got special needs and need a special card for easy access on to the rides at Disneyland Paris. I go through the exit of the ride to access it then I am helped on to the ride. Overall the ride is great. I love the Its a Small World song and when I've ridden the ride I'm still singing the song. This ride gets five stars as it is one great ride for people with special needs. Full time Wheelchair users get to access the ride by using going into a specially adapted wheelchair boat. This ride is by far one of the best water rides I've been on after my 2nd favourite water ride the River Caves at (BPB).
Mind numbingly annoying for me. Won't go on about stereotypes etc. My 3 yr old daughter loved it (3 times we went on) and that is the most important thing.
